A ‘living-score’ for open instrumentation and ambient sounds —performed/interpreted many times and often used in workshops.

The interpreter is asked to be fully aware of their environment, open to all sounds and experiences, willing to accompany and be in harmony with all audible phenomena — they are a ‘product of history’ which in turn ‘produces individual and collective practices’.

As synchronicity with their surroundings is achieved, interpreters follow creative avenues of sound and are permitted to be slightly dissonant. This inharmoniousness may be interpreted in many different ways — dissonant with reference to their own previously performed material, with other interpreters, with their environment or a combination of all three.

A work to be interpreted in different places. A collection of recordings. A growing sketch.
